Peak Season (Dry Season - West & South Coasts) (December ~ March)

Temperature: Average Temp 25℃ to 30℃.

Ideal for visiting the west and south coasts, hill country, and cultural triangle. Sunny and dry weather perfect for beaches, wildlife safaris, and exploring ancient sites.

Inter-Monsoon / Shoulder Season (April & September ~ November)

Temperature: Average Temp 28℃ to 32℃.

Transitional periods with mixed weather. Can be hot and humid with occasional showers. Good for travel across the island, often with fewer crowds and better deals.

Yala Monsoon (South-West) (May ~ August)

Temperature: Average Temp 28℃ to 30℃.

Affects the south-west coast and hill country with heavy rains. The east and north coasts are dry and sunny during this time, making them ideal for beach holidays.

Maha Monsoon (North-East) (October ~ January)

Temperature: Average Temp 25℃ to 28℃.

Affects the north and east of the island. While the north-east experiences rain, the south and west coasts are in their dry season, offering excellent beach weather.
