SEASONS IN BHUTAN

Spring (March ~ May)

Temperature: Average Temp 15℃ to 25℃ (lower in mountains).

Considered one of the best times to visit. Rhododendrons and other flowers are in full bloom, and the weather is pleasant for trekking and sightseeing. Clear skies offer excellent mountain views.

Summer (Monsoon) (June ~ August)

Temperature: Average Temp 20℃ to 30℃ (humid).

The monsoon season brings heavy rainfall, especially in the south. Landscapes are lush and green, but trekking can be challenging. Good for cultural tours in valleys, but mountain views are often obscured.

Autumn (September ~ November)

Temperature: Average Temp 10℃ to 20℃.

Another peak season with clear skies and crisp air, offering spectacular views of the Himalayas. Ideal for trekking and attending vibrant local festivals like Thimphu Tshechu.

Winter (December ~ February)

Temperature: Average Temp 5℃ to 15℃ (can drop below 0℃).

Cold but dry, with clear skies. Ideal for birdwatching, especially for the Black-necked Cranes in Phobjikha Valley. Lower altitude areas like Punakha are pleasant, while higher regions experience snow.
